Herdade do Vau - Serpa

This former farmer house was refurbished respecting Alentejo’s traditional architecture. Herdade do Vau is a wine producing property and sits on Guadiana River’s right bank, a 20-minute drive from Beja.

The elegant rooms at Herdade do Vau are large and feature arched windows overlooking the surrounding vineyards and landscape.include a private bathroom and some have a four-posted bed.

A daily breakfast is served each morning and is made of regional delicacies. Meals served include the flavours of fresh herbs caught at the property.

As a wine producing property, Herdade do Vau organises wine tasting sessions overlooking the vineyards and lake. Guests can enjoy a picnic in an idyllic lakeside location, and the cosy living room with fireplace offers a perfect setting to read a book or a enjoy a talk.

Serpa, known for its cuisine and historical walls, is at 20 km, and the border with Spain is a 50-minute drive.

The hotel day starts from hour 17:30 and ends at 12:00.
